This woman has fought a thousand battles
She is still standing, still smiling.
She has been broken, betrayed, and rejected.
She still walks proudly, laughs loudly, and lives boldly.

This woman is strong, she's beautiful.
This woman is me.
If you knew how hard it was.
How long it took to rebuild
My little universe of peace and happiness

Then you would understand why
I'm so picky about who
I allow in my life.

I know you have a big heart that loves deeply
A heart that feels compassion and empathy
A heart that feels other's pain

I know that all you have ever got in return
Was disappointment because you expected
Everyone else to have the same heart like yours
But that's what hurts us the most
Our expectations.

You need to realize that sometimes what you give out
You won't always get back.
You need to realize that some people will be there
Only to take with no intention of giving anything in return.

You are not always going to get that apology that you deserve.

Who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle,
Known loss and have found their way out of the depths.

These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity,

Beautiful people do not just happen.

Happiness is when feel good about yourself
Without feeling the need for anyone's approval.
I have fought through the pain.
I have fought through the tears.

I have fallen more than most.

I have struggled.

What I've learned from life.
Is that for every inch of sadness
Lies a foot of happiness ahead.

I've learned that the simplest of times
Brings the grandest of pleasures.
The hardest goodbyes often lead to the best hellos.

I've learned that crazy chances guide us too unexpected
Discoveries and that tough times unveil the sincerity of people.
I've learned that you have to hold onto your smile
Every day and free yourself of that frown.

I fall, I rise, I make mistakes.
I live, I learn, I've been hurt but I'm alive.
I'm human. I'm not perfect but, I'm thankful.

I have confidence. I have faith.
I will continue putting one foot in front of the other.
I will keep moving forward.
That's what strong people do.

Let people be where they are.
Leave them there if you have too.
Learn to accept situations for exactly what they are.

Stop putting so much energy into what you don't have control over.
